Marion is a reference to the so-called “weeping” religious icons or sculptures (tears or blood appearing on Madonna representations. Here a woman slowly drinks a glass of wine while a wine stain appears and rapidly spreads across her t-shirt. This video is about what appears on her white t-shirt and what it symbolizes for each spectator. There is no story, only this long moment and multiple ideas connected with it. While witnessing the appearance of the stain, the image’s sense changes and our consciousness creates a whole new meaning in accordance with our own cultural identities.
